First Day in Nazaré

On Tuesday afternoon we decided to explore our immediate area a bit. And we were not disappointed! We drove down to the beach and then up to Sitio where there is a plaza and the famous lighthouse, but it turns out it is all easily walkable. The area around Nazaré had been on a pretty strict lockdown for the past few weeks, but that lifted yesterday afternoon. While we were walking around, everything was still closed and empty, but when Steffen and I ran some errands yesterday, it was more lively. We look forward to exploring more over the next few days.

We spent a little bit of time at a nearby playground but the sun was going down and it was getting a bit cold.

It was almost time for the sunset, so we headed down to the beach quickly but there was a layer of fog so no sunset that evening. Still beautiful! And hopefully there will be more sunset opportunities…..
