Alcobaça Monastery


There is another well-known monastery near Nazaré, Alcobaça Monastery, that I wanted to visit so we headed out Sunday morning again (careful to get home before the 1pm curfew). Unfortunately they are doing some renovations so the front is covered in scaffolding but the inside was astounding! The Alcobaça Monastery is also a UNESCO World Heritage site.
