On Wednesday, June 9th, Hannah officially became a teenager! We were still staying with my oldest sister and her family, so we got to enjoy a donut breakfast together and a few small gifts (her main gift of a weekend away with Steffen and I will come in the fall once we are settled back in Germany).

Then we headed to a nearby water park for a few hours of fun in the sun. Cousin Kike and his girlfriend Alyssa joined us, which was a really nice treat for all of us! Olivia and Luisa even braved the “Flowrider” wave on a body board. It was a celebration fit for our water-loving daughter!

To finish off the celebration, we meet up with Steffen, Christie, cousin Natalia, Grandpa Paul and Cheryl for a very nice Italian dinner, a few more gifts and (of course) cake. Good food and great company! We are so proud of the young lady Hannah is becoming, growing more mature by the day while remaining her same calm, thoughtful, good natured, kind self. It is such a privilege to be her parents. We can’t wait to see what comes next!
