Legoland

We spent last Tuesday at the original Legoland in Billund, Denmark, and the whole family had a great time. I have to say, as much as I love Disney, I do feel like Legoland is the way to go. We have been a few times in California (though the girls don’t really remember any of those trips) and then last year we visited the one in southern Germany and loved it. The one in Denmark is also a hit! Just the right size to explore the whole thing in a day without feeling rushed but enough to be fun and exciting. Highly recommend it for kids ages 5-12. 🙂

There are a lot of calm rides which is great for our more cautious children, but also a few more thrilling rides, for Charlotte. 🙂 We were able to convince all four girls to go on one of the roller coasters which felt like a big milestone. Our first family roller coaster! Luisa absolutely loved it, as did Charlotte and Olivia, and even Hannah (though she might not look like it here). The before and after photos below.

More rides! More fun! Between the rainy weather and pandemic, we got lucky with few crowds. Which meant we went on a lot of rides!

And of course, the actual Lego area. It’s astounding what they can do with Legos! The girls were fascinated and inspired.
