When we arrived on January 10th, our landlord let us know that Portugal was likely headed into lockdown by the end of the week. So I decided to set up a couple of activities that we were hoping to do in the area before everything closed. On Tuesday the 12th the girls and I headed to a small zoo about 20 minutes away. We had a really fun day! Generally the girls like similar things making it easy to plan fun outings, but it really is so much fun how all of us really enjoy a trip to the zoo. On this trip we’ve been to zoos in Norway (well, it was an aquarium but same difference), Finland (Rovaniemi and Helsinki), the Netherlands, and now here in Portugal. It’s a field trip that’s always guaranteed to bring a smile!
